Abgerundet wird das Werk durch eine Ansprache des auferstandenen Christus an seine Jüngerinnen und Jünger. Hierin wird eine zu unreflektierte Frömmigkeit in Frage gestellt, mit der Jesus vielfach verehrt wird.
